Whoo Intercom lets you see who’s at the front door, whether you’re home or away. You can greet visitors, grant access, and allow deliveries from your smartphone, reducing issues like missed packages and lost keys, thus boosting security and convenience.
Whoo Intercom uses Power over Ethernet (PoE) and an electric door strike. PoE provides power and data via one Ethernet cable, simplifying installation. The electric door strike allows remote unlocking through the Whoo Intercom app. Requirements include a stable internet connection.
You need an internet connection with at least 2 Mbps upload speed. While download speed is often emphasized, upload speed is crucial for our one-way video communication. Comcast’s Performance Starter, at about $25/month, meets this requirement. This ensures smooth operation, allowing you to greet visitors and manage access via your smartphone.
Installation is easy and the device is up and running in less than a day.
No. The Whoo doorphone is very easy to install. A handyman or super can do it. But we do recommend that you contact one of our certified installers.
If you use multiple entrances for your building, we can install a Whoo intercom at each entrance. If your building only has one entrance, but there are two doors (i.e. a main door leading into a vestibule/foyer and then a door into the lobby), the Whoo intercom can be configured to control both doors.
Whoo is available for installation anywhere in the U.S.
Users can use any smart device that runs on either iOS or Android.
